Beginners bellydance classes. A breakdown of technique is provided to support a safe dance practice in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
In this class we explore movement through foot and arm positions, bellydance isolation’s, and drilled in some fun dance combinations. A clear breakdown of technique is provided to support a safe dance practice, while improving fitness, strength and balance in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
These classes are suitable for those with no or little dance experience, as well as those wanting to brush up on the fundamentals.
What to bring
- Comfortable clothing that’s easy to move in. Ideally active wear or yoga pants along with a fitted top/singlet, this will allow the checking of your alignment and posture
- A smart phone setup with QR code reader
- A hipscarf/belt/sash
- A water bottle
- Zils (finger cymbals)
- A towel/mat for cool down
Location and amenities
These classes are being held at the Redlands Memorial Hall. The local is spacious with kitchen facilities, bathroom/change area, off-street parking as well as parking on surrounding streets.
